BUT If a Marine Patroll was going through an area and an IED blew up and killed a Marine or Marines wouldn't you think that if any civil people were around they would have known that the IED was there and could have warned the Marines? Now, to be there and not know is not entirely logical> Somebody knows. How many times have we seen downed Marines where Iraqi civilians, including chiren, are dancing over the bodies, laughing for the camera, which is too hastely played on the media for the American pubic.
cable or network TV
I was watching a TV talk show the other day. A host type person was interviewing a comedian wantabe. The kid was 15 or 13 or something.
Let’s go thru it like this.
Host: Why do you want to be a comedian?
Wantabe: Because it makes people laugh.
Hose : What is your specialty going to be:
Wanabe: What do you mean; I am going to tell jokes.
Host: Are you going to center on some specific theme. Like Gallagher, He tells jokes and breaks watermelons; the subculture thinks that’s funny. Some comedians cuss a lot and the subculture thinks that’s funny. What are you going to do?
Wanabe: Oh I am going to cuss a lot, that is funny. I watch it on the cable shows, its great. I am going to be just like that, lots of dirty words make people laugh.
Host: But you can’t do that on TV.
Wantabe: Oh yes, on cable, all my friends watch cable.
Host: What do your parents think about your ideas?
Wanabe: Well until now they really didn’t know all about the cuss words but it’s out now and what can they really do about it anyway.

Clean it up
When you have a political opinion or thought, always have the Red State/ Blue State Map in the back of your mind. Or if you have any other opinion for that matter.
Politics are self serving, But, if all authors would write books with the political make up of the country in mind more people would read books and listen to audio tapes. Just think of the people that are alienated by the profane writings and movie language.
We seem to write books using a lot of [street language] when in reality people that read lots of books don't speak that way at home and at work. We seem to write books with the typical 'N' language although we can't use the 'N' word.
The same goes w/ movies. They are made w/ gutter talk as an expletive. It's not necessary. Have you heard of people not watching CSI because the cast didn't use God's name in vain enough or say sh[ ]t or mother f[ ]ker enough.
To make a good book a good read or a good movie a good watch, by the whole family, you don't need foul language.
The ‘R’ rated movies don't show penetration, they only make you think there is penetration. Most are classed R because of the unnecessary use of foul language. So why should a good movie or book be full of foul language.
When I am reading or listening to an audio book I think how good it would be to give to my mother or grandchildren, but I can't because of the language.
What a loss for the readers and the movie go'ers and what a financial loss for the authors and producers.
New Computer
I just took delivery on a new Dell Inspiron 9400. Top of the line machine. Did you know that you can change the color of the lights that are on the keyboard? I found that out while waiting for Tech Support. I locked up between McAfee and the wireless provider before I even got the itnitial set up going. I spoke to two Pakistanis and one Moroccan before I got to a regulation white boy who fixed the damn problem. This is going to be a good computer.
Energy Company
I think I heard the President and several congressmen call for the oil companies to develop other forms of energy as in Wind, Hydrogen and Corn juice.
The oil companies are Oil companies not energy companies in the broader since of the word. We should call on private enterprise to develop alternative energy sources.
Should feed mills develop corn juice because they deal in feed corn?
Should liberals develop wind power because they are full of hot air?
The auto makers have to be involved in any technology that changes the way the auto operates but it is not the resposibility of the oil company to come up with alternate fuels unless the oil companies want to do it.
The Duke Deal
Here's the Duke outlook before it gets anymore pubic (a play on words, there) Anyway and as always its my opinion. Anytime a couple of whors from a dating service show up at a jock party, someone is going to get screwed, to say it mildly. The only extraordinary circumstance in the screwing is the agreed upon price, and it sounds like that was not agreed upon. Okay, I am already being chastised about calling the young ladies whors. Well let me tell you one thing or several; girls don't work for escorts services to just go to parties and hang on the arm of a wealthy man; strippers don't strip or give lap dances without managers, like the club manager, bouncers or bar tenders close by unless they expect what is known as a happy ending.. Black escorts don't go to white jock fraternities especially in North Carolina if they don't expect to get screwed unless they are blond.
The Fence/defence
As some drive by media reports suggest The Fence may be 'Too Short,' 700 miles, today but if that 700 miles works then we only have 2300 more miles to go. Now having said that lets look at this; First the fence or as Dick Morris suggested 'defence' will be built by KBR, but just you watch, the labor will be 'Illegal Mexicans. I hope they pay them at least minimum wage and make them build it from their side which may be illegal in Mexico but that's another story. I suggest something like a baseball park or hockey arena funding situation. Take one section of wall, say 250 feet, and advertise for corporate America. On our side it can say " If they don't make it across, we need your support, Wal Mart." And on their side it can read 'If you make it over the wall, Shop Wal Mart, we have water for 63 cents a gallon."
